History

"Confectionery Goemans."

1954   Start of confectionery Goemans in Santpoort by Harry and Lenie Goemans. 

1960   The company was continued in Heemskerk, where one moved into a new bakery and shop.

1981   Commencement of Peter Goemans in the company. 

1982   Opening of the first branch at the 'Europaplein'. 

1989   Harry Goemans finally transfers the company to Peter, who continues the company with his wife Tineke.

1998   Take-over of 'Echte Bakker Leo de Jong', production location 'de Smidse' is taken over, three extra branches are added, which brings the total to five.

2001   Peter's brother, Frank Goemans, enters the management team of Goemans Versbakkerij B.V. 

2004   Introduction of the Arch Petit Fours at the first wholesaler.

2007   Production location for the cake third channel moves to Castricum, Daniël Goemans enters the company for the department of commerce.

2008   National coverage of the Petit Fours in the bakery channel.

2010   Daniël Goemans, son of Peter Goemans, joins the board of Goemans Versbakkerij B.V. Acquisition of the complete production and marketing channels of meringues from AA Bakeries. The branch at shopping area 'Plantage' in Beverwijk is also completely renewed.

2011 In November a new branch in Castricum is opened in shopping center 'Geesterduin'. The 3th of December, our branch at the 'Wijkerbaan' in Beverwijk opens the doors of its renewed store.

2012 Goemans Versbakkerij B.V. is nominated for the Enttrepeneur Prize on behalf of the chamber of commerce.

2013 Four branches of the company achieve a star at the elections for 'Bakery with Star' organized by the Dutch Bakery Centre (NBC).

2014 On January 8, the former branch 'Beethovenstraat' opens the doors of its renewed store on the new location 'Haydnplein'. Goemans Versbakkerij B.V. joins again the elections of 'Bakery with Star'. This time the 6 branches achieve a total of 11 stars!

2015 Goemans Versbakkerij B.V. opens a new production plant of 2000 square meters at 'de Smidse' in Heemskerk, next to the existing production location. From now on, the production for small pastries and Petit Fours will take place from here.
